It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hey Everyone! I hope your having a good winter break! SO far it been a roller coaster ride for me.
I came home from school with many sweet from parties, then a day later a virus attacks my computer, found it, deleted it (thanks Kaspersky), another virus came, rolled back the computer, everything's fine. Now I have to finish "homework" from every class and now I'm waiting for Christmas. I know this is more of an update than something Artistic, but I had to get his off my chest.
I hope your having a way better break than i am. Viruses, Malware, and etc. are way to confusing.
Happy Hoildays!!1!1!!!

Nu_Works Flim Project

For our Second Six Weeks Project in Nu_Woks we were put in groups and given a topic. My groups was "BEWARE OF A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING." The assignment was fun and exiting! We were put in new groups and we came up with good ideas. I was the Story Boarding Artist, Haley Cook was our Designer, Olivia Young and Heather Harris were the Editors, Heather also was the Director, Camern Amos was the Assistant Director and Voice Over, and Amber Ward was our Sound/Music Engineer (SME). Our movie came out really good and I was proud of it. Now we have little problems to work out to make it even better.   Thank You to my amazing Team!

Last Day in Jewelry Class

This six weeks my 2nd Introdution to Media Class was Jewelry and Friday November, 11 was my last day. We use a numerous amout of tools from brass, copper, saw-blades, a torch, a triopli wheel, buff, and good old paper! The first thing we did in class was making our designs (seen in the top left picture). After picking a design we sawed out a design with brass or copper on our asignned bench.  After a couple of steps like filing, polishing and buffing I had 2 finsh pieces. Overall, it was a fun hands-on experience with new tools that I never used.

More To Come !!!

Coming new to TheArtisticPegasus are more weelky post, school reviews, and links to websites related to the arts (mostly the visual arts). Lets see how far this blog will go and where it will take me!

Arts At The Fair

At the State Fair of Texas there was more than rides and food (which was awesome) there was lots of art.

Art was everywhere around the fair. All you had to do was open your eyes. All the nice statues and all the huge paintings crossing the bulidings wall where always around. The tap daning that only happens in Texas. Or the music that plays at the Chevrolet Main Stage, around the park, or anywhere. Have you noticed the art around you? Maybe we should open up our eyes and minds a bit more. The State Fair also makes a great place to take photos. Look at my Flickr Photosteam to see more photos form the State Fair of Texas!

SPACE In Nu_Works!

Today in Nu_Works we wrapped up our project on space. I made a oil pastel artwork and made a small still life.I think my project went well. I wish that I was a little bit more ready to present to the class.

To me the strongest project was one of my classmates Meg. She made a stop motion video about how space is used. She showed different spaces like open space, personal space, work space, cyber and outer space. The "big" star of the movie was a little troll face riding a dinosaur. Thanks for reading!

Last Day In Photography Class

I loved photography class! I'am glad I had it for the first six weeks in El Media. We learned about www.flickr.com and photo sharing. We also made our own "cameras" using tape, cans, and an oatmeal container. We use the "camera" to make pinholes and inverted them in Photoshop. It was easy to use after a while when making Radial Designs. But the hardest thing for me was learning how to use a Mac!

NU_WORKS!

At Booker T. Washington High School, we have a class called Nu_Works. This class allows students from every cluster (Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts) to try every cluster. So far my class studied Paul Baker's element of Space. We learned how to use space in dance, when acting, visual space, and cyberspace by making a Blogger. This class is amazing and I can't wait to study the other forms of art like color, texture, and line!
